30-Day Book Challenge: Day 2

30 Day Book Challenge

Hello Fellow Bibliophiles!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you guys are nose-deep in a good book. I am currently in class, daydreaming away…

Anyways, welcome to Day 2 of this 30-Day Book Challenge. The challenge is simple; for each day there is a statement and you have to choose a book or series that relates to said statement. Let’s begin!

Day 1 (2)

22205

There are so many that I could use for this statement, but I decided to go for one of my all-time favorite re-reads, This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. I am a HUGE Sarah Dessen fan. Her writing style is very simple and one thing that made me fall in love with her books is that characters from one book will show up in another creating a connection between all her books.

This Lullaby follows our main character Remi Starr who always kept her guard up when it comes to love. With her mom working on husband number 5, Remy hopes that by following her set of rules, she will be able to avoid the heartache her mother has faced over the years. But in crashes Dexter Jones, tossing all of Remy’s rules out of the window and forever changing views on love.

Music plays a major role in this book as Dexter is a musician and this book made me want to pick up more books with a musical aspect in the plot. I already re-read this book this year, but I’m pretty sure I’ll re-read it a few more times 😀 !

That’s all for this post! Until tomorrow…

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!
