30-Day Book Challenge: Day 11

30 Day Book Challenge (2)

Hey Guys!

Welcome to Day 11 of this 30-Day Book Challenge. The challenge is simple; for each day there is a statement and you have to choose a book or series that relates to said statement. Let’s begin!

Day 1 (11)

In all honesty, I have never truly “hated” a book. I may have had some strong feelings of dislike or disgust, but never hate. So instead of choosing a book I hate, I am going to pick a book that I strongly disliked…

This challenge goes to 99 Days by Katie Cotugno. This book follows our main character, Molly Barlow, who returns to her small town, Star Lake, after graduating from boarding school. A year ago, Molly left Star Lake after her mother, Diana Barlow, a famous author wrote a novel namedDriftwood and revealed that the story was based on her daughter’s love life. Hoping that after a year everyone would have forgotten about the scandal she caused, she soon finds that no one has forgotten the mess she made and they have no intentions of making her forget either. I also did a review on this book which you can check out HERE.

Like I said in my review, this book should come with a warning label.  WARNING: This book will cause you to have bursts of rage, which may lead to the excess use of profanity and book throwing! I liked the beginning of this book. I was liking Molly and I was excited to see how she was going to handle returning home and dealing with the mess she left behind. Then…then the cheating happened. I personally don’t like cheating in books, but this book takes cheating to a whole new level. It was literally a FAMILY AFFAIR as Molly was jumping back and forth between brothers. WHY??!! I can’t talk about this book anymore…I may break my keyboard if I continue…

That’s all for this post! Until tomorrow…

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!
