30-Day Book Challenge: Day 13

30 Day Book Challenge (2)

Happy Saturday!

I hope you guys are enjoying your weekend! Welcome to Day 13 of this 30-Day Book Challenge. The challenge is simple; for each day there is a statement and you have to choose a book or series that relates to said statement. Let’s begin!

Day 1 (13)

I have way too many authors on my favorites list to just pick one. Instead, I’m going to pick the first author that made it onto my favorites list: SARAH DESSEN!

The first book I read by Sarah was The Truth About Forever. I instantly became a fan and devoured the rest of her books. I like her writing style because of its simplicity. A typical plot line consists of: a girl facing some kind of inner conflict; issues in the family; a guy that has his own issues; guy and girl coming together to help each other; happy endings. I also like her books because characters from previous will show up in later books and I get super excited to see them again and  we get a glimpse of what is currently going on in their lives.

I will pretty much buy any book written by Sarah. I don’t even read the summary in the flap, I just pick up the book and start reading. She’s a definite auto-buy author for life!

That’s all for this post! Until tomorrow…

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!
