How I Read [Book Tag]

Hey Book Friends!

It’s the weekend! This has been the week of DEATH a.k.a midterm week. But that’s all behind me now and I can get back to more important things, like reading and fangirling over #CaptainSwan!

Anyways, I’m back with another tag! I was tagged by Bea @ Confessions of a Pinay Bookaholic to do the How I Read Book Tag. If you guys LOVE new adult books as much as I do, you NEED to check out her blog! Actually, you should just go check out her blog whether you like new adult or not. While you’re at it, check out her bookstagram, it’s pretty awesome too! Without further ado, let’s begin!

How do you find out about new books to read?

Why Goodreads, of course! I usually browse through the recommended reads and add whatever book catches my eyes. Recently, I have been finding out about new books from other book friends on Twitter! My poor TBR is just getting bigger and bigger because of this.

How did you get into reading?

STORY TIME! I have always been a reader. I used to spend every weekend at the library as a kid. But when I got to high school and college, I didn’t want to read anymore because all my classes took the fun out reading. About a year ago, I took a creative writing class and I fell head over heels in love once again with reading! Now that I have started reading again, I don’t think I will ever stop!

How has your taste in books changed as you got older?

My taste in books has most definitely changed! When I was younger, I was really into vampire books. I just wanted to read them ALL! I also read YA contemporaries here and there, but it was usually all about the vampires. Now, my reading as change tremendously. Now I read: YA (contemporary, fantasy, & paranormal), NA & sometimes the occasional Adult.

How often do you buy books?

Every three months or so I will usually do a big haul and buy some books off my list. The bookstore near my college recently got a makeover and I have been finding it so hard to resist buying books because it is just so completely adorable inside! I want to live there!

How did you get into book reviewing?

I discovered BookTube and it was just so interesting to watch these booktubers talk about books they read. Then, I went online and found out about book blogs and I was hooked. I wanted to join the conversation, so I decided to make my own blog and hence, The Daydreaming Bookworm was born!

How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?

How often do you take a sneak peek at the ending to see if there is a happy ending?

I use to be so guilty for doing this. But now, I’ve stopped. I like being surprised by endings, whether they are happy endings or not. Plus, most of the books I end up reading are part of a series, so the story is never truly over.

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!

  1. Yes! Captain Swan! ❤
I love this tag. My taste in books have also changed over the years, especially since blogging. I love contemporary now, whereas before I mostly read fantasy. I couldn't imagine reading the last page of a book. I don't even like peaking at the next sentence. 😛
