The Bookish Christmas Tag

Hey guys!

I am BACK with another tag. I was tagged by Lauren @ Driftinglexi to do The Bookish Christmas Tag. Thank you so much Lauren for the tag!

Christmas is my FAVORITE time of the year because it’s kind of a big deal where I’m from. My mom makes so many YUMMY traditional dishes that we only get to eat during this time of the year and I LOVE IT!

Father Christmas: Name a book you received as a child that you treasure to this day.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was given to me by aunt for Christmas many years ago and I treasure this book to this day. This was actually the first Harry Potter book I read (I read them out of order) and it is also my favorite book in the series.

The ghost of Christmas past: Is there a book or series you like to revisit each year at Christmas time?

I AM USING Harry Potter again because I am actually going to be reading this gorgeous book on Christmas. I can’t wait to experience this story with illustrations and feel ALL THE FEELS again!

Christmas tree: Name a series that reaches new heights with every entry.

I was a little weary of the Lux series when I first started. I really did not like Daemon. I did not see why everyone found him to be so appealing, BUT that all changed by the end of Opal. Things really picked up and I ended up loving this series.

Friends and family: Name a book with fantastic characters.

BEST BOOK CHARACTERS EVER! So much character development, so many layers…I never get bored with the guys and girls of the Marked Men series.

Decorations: Name a book with a gorgeous cover you would proudly display on your shelves.

Seriously, look how pretty this book is! I bet it is even more beautiful in person, which reminds me, I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON THIS BOOK!

Ice and snow: Name a book that you were hoping to love but which ultimately left you feeling cold.

I was SO disappointed in this book. I thought it would be an epic revenge story, but it’s just another love story. Not Impressed.

Christmas lunch: Name a book that was big and intimidating but oh so worth it in the end.

I don’t know about you, but I found Queen of Shadows to be a little bit intimidating. It was a little slow in the beginning, but once things started to pick up, I just flew through the pages.

Mince pies: Name a book you found sweet and satisfying.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! Seriously, EVERYONE should read it. It has such a great message about the importance of just living life and the romance is completely adorable.

Presents: What book do you wish you could give everyone to read?

Another beautiful book about not taking things for granted. I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much for a book as I did for this one. Please read this book, you won’t regret it!
