October Wrap-Up & November Most Anticipated Releases

Hey Guys!

Happy Halloween!

October was a pretty hectic month for me. Blogging wise, it was crap because I didn’t really feel like blogging. Hence why I haven’t posted a discussion posts within the last two weeks. I have discussions, just no actual time to write them. Personal wise (is that even a phrase ??), I’ve been stressed with work and studying. I’m hoping next month is a lot better, especially since the holiday season is coming up.

Let’s get started!

I read a total of 13 books this month! Some were hits, like Punk 57, The Hating Game, Keepsake and Royally Screwed, while other were misses, like Tonic, Touching Down and I See You. I think Punk 57 may have put me in a reading slump because that book was pretty damn good!

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo | ★★★★★ | Best damn sequel I’ve ever read and this series is now my new favorite duology. All the feels and the pain are so worth it!
I See You by Molly McAdams | ★★ | An over dramatic and shallow romance that had the potential to be so much more if not for all the excess baggage that was weighing it down.
Twisted Palace by Erin Watt | ★★★½ | A disappointing, yet still satifying end to a crazy ass series. Can’t wait for more more Royal’s book.
A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner | ★★★ | This book left me feeling emotionally conflicted and exhausted. I have never loved and hated a book as much as I did with this one.
Royally Screwed by Emma Chase | ★★★★ |  A sweet and sexy romance that swept me off my feet. His Royal Hotness did not disappoint!
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne | ★★★★ | An entertaining, slow-burning romance with all the funnies. Sally Thorne’s debut was a hit and I feel the need to pick up more nerdy romances.
Keepsake by Sarina Bowen| ★★★★★ | A beautiful romance about healing and new beginnings. Sarina Bowen is slaying it this year!

279Mr. President by Katy Evans | Bad Romeo Christmas by Leisa Rayven

I’m totally cheating because the release date for Mr. President was actually bumped up and it released earlier, but I’m still going to include it. I’ve heard such great things so far from trusted blogger friends and I can’t wait to read it.

That is all for the month of October. Feel free to check out any of the above posts mentioned if you haven’t done so already.

Let me know in the comments which November release you are most excited for!-Ari (2)

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!

  1. You’ve read some interesting books this month! I loved Crooked Kingdom and The Hating Game! I’m currently reading Royally Screwed and so far I’m quite enjoying his royal hotness! I have Punk57 and Twisted Palace in my tbr so I really hope I like them too. 😀

  2. I hear you, October was a tough one! Blogging definitely took a backseat to “personal wise” stuff (that should totally be a phrase!), but hopefully things will chill out a bit in November. Seems unlikely though, because November is always hell in grad school *cries* Hahaha.

The Hating Game sounds awesome, I love a hate to love/slow burn romance! Definitely going to check that one out. 🙂

    1. I recently graduated college and I don’t think could handle college and blogging at the same time. I can’t even begin to imagine what grad school and blogging is like! Hopefully November will be a better blogging month for both of us, haha!
