Happy Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s topic is Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read For The First Time In 2016. 2016 was the year for me because I discovered ALL THE AMAZING ROMANCE AUTHORS, and a few YA authors here and there. I need more of these author’s books in 2017!
Let’s begin!
Mercy Brown’s debut NA series, Hub City, has become one of my favorite (even though only two books have been released) and I am anxiously awaiting the third installment…BECAUSE THERE BETTER BE A THIRD BOOK, JOEY NEEDS HIS OWN STORY!
MY QUEEN FOR SPORTS ROMANCE! I did not think sports romances would ever be my thing, but damn I am loving them. Mainly for the snarky characters, but also for the epic shenanigans. I know Kennedy has written books in other genres and I need to check those out ASAP!
OMG, REDMERSKI SLAYS WHEN IT COMES TO MAFIA BOOKS! The In the Company of Killers series is hands down one of my top three favorite series and I have yet to find a mafia series that matches the intensity of this book. Currently dying for the seventh book in this series because I NEED ANSWERS!
Leisa Rayven has turned this angst-hater into an angst-tolerate-r (if that even is a word?). I usually don’t like when romances have too much angst and our characters are constantly fighting, but for some reason I actually liked the characters in her book. I’m so sad the Starcrossed series has come to an end, but I’m excited to read more books by this author in the future.
Y’ALL, SARINA BOWEN HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! Like, I want to shout on the highest mountain peak about how much I love this author’s works because her romances are so sweet and simple and her characters are all around so lovable. I can’t get enough and her next release features an MC with the same as me!
While I’ve only read one book by this author (I’ll Meet You There) I have already fallen in love with Heather Demetrios’ writing and how realistic and raw her books are. I’m so excited for her next releases because I need it now!
THE RITCHIE TWINS HAVE IMPACTED MY LIFE SO MUCH THIS YEAR! The Addicted/Calloway Sisters series is hands-downs my second favorite series and I love these characters so freakin’ much, I am refusing to read the last book because I don’t want to say goodbye just yet.
I’ve seen other bloggers talk about Megan Ericksons books, so I decided to binge read her M/M series. This series is one of the sweetest M/M series I’ve ever read with an amazing cast of characters and I need to check out her others series soon.
When Six of Crows de-thrones TWATD as your favorite duology. Yeah, so that happened and I have no regrets. Still not over the way this series ended.
I recently read Punk 57 and that book put me in the worst reading slump ever! However, I now know that Penelope Douglas writes some pretty dark books with heavy themes and I’m dying to check them out. I’m just hoping that I don’t find myself in another reading slump once I finish.
If you posted a TTT for this week, drop your link down below so I can check them out!
Yay for Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen! Love those two!

So many amazing authors in this list. I’ll Meet You There remains to be one of my favourite contemporary novels of all times. I love the raw emotion in it. ❤ This way the first year I read a Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy book as well. The True North series has me wanting to hop on a plane to Vermont and hunt down my own grouchy Griffin and the Off-Campus series kick started my obsession with sports contemporary romances.

OMG, I want to road trip it to Vermont and find me my own grumpy farmer too! 😂😂 I never knew farmers could be so hot. 😍🔥 I can’t wait for the next book in that series and also for the spin-off of the Off-Campus series! 🙌🙌

Leigh is one of my faves after this year SoC and CK are just epic and I’ll love them forever XD Her new mystery series sounds beyond amazing and I can’t wait to get my hands on it 🙂 Great list! I haven’t read a lot of these Authors but I can’t wait to read some J.A. Redmerski I mean Mafia books? I obviously need this in my life asap XD

Leigh mystery series sounds so good!! She will probably kill off one of my faves in her new series too 😂😂 I can’t trust her to protect my faves anymore. Redmerski’s series is so twisted, I never see any of the plot twist coming.

The only one of these authors I’ve heard of is Leigh Bardugo! I haven’t read her books yet, but I’m hoping to change that during 2017. I’ll have to go check out some of the others. My TBR isn’t long enough yet anyway 😉

I’m so excited for Leigh’s mystery series. I’m always hesistant when authors switch up genres, but after the epic plot twists in SoC and CK, I’m sure she will have no problem writing a mystery series.
