WWW Wednesday- March 22, 2017

Hey Guys!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words. Simply answer the following questions:

♥ What have you recently finished reading?
♥ What are you currently reading?

♥ What do you think you’ll read next?

Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally
Things I Can’t Forget by Miranda Kenneally

Pucked by Helena Hunting

I binge-read the first three the Hundred Oaks series and can I just say that the first two were not the best. I know a lot of people love this series, but I just wasn’t down with the slut-shaming and the homophobic connotations (and please don’t fight me on this because I have receipts 🙂). Things I Can’t Forget was actually a lot better read for me and I’ll continue the series next month and hopefully those books are less problematic.

I also buddy-read Pucked with my smut crew and we were disappointed with this book. We were just not wowed by this book and the ‘beaver’ references were a bit too much. I am going to continue the series though (mainly because I want to meet this Lance fella y’all speak so highly of 😏😛) and maybe things will get better.

Dirty Souls by Karina Halle

Black Hearts ended with a crazy cliffhanger and I need to see how things play out!

Goodbye Paradise by Sarina Bowen
Take Me Back by Meghan March

Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn

My fave Sarina Bowen released a new book and I’M SO EXCITED TO READ IT! I know she won’t let me down so I can’t wait to dive into this book.

I’m also going to pick up new releases from a few new-to-me authors, both who happen to share the same first name. Hopefully they don’t disappoint.

What are you guys reading this week? Leave me your links down below!sig

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!

  1. On the Hundred Oaks…I read that one out of order. I started with Jesse’s Girl and loved it. I went back to read Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker. I wasn’t really a fan of the latter. Then, I read Breathe, Annie, Breathe. That’s my favorite so far.
You are going to LOVE Goodbye Paradise and Co-Wrecker. 🙂

    1. Everyone keeps telling my that they have mixed feelings when it comes to the Hundred Oaks series, that some books are a hit and some are a miss so I don’t fee as bad for not loving the first three.

I’m starting Co-Wrecker right now and it is funny as hell. I love hot nerds so much! 🤓😻

  2. My opinions go up and down on the Hundred Oaks series. I think my favorites are Catching Jordan, Riding Savannah and Jesse’s Girl. I actually did not like Things I Can’t Forget or Breathe, Annie, Breathe because I couldn’t connect with the characters. I’m excited for the next book to come out this year!

    1. Everyone who has read the Hundred Oaks series has told me that books are either a hit or miss with them so I guess the series has a good amount of mixed feelings and I don’t feel so bad about not loving the first three books. Hopefully the series get better as I continue my binge-read. 😬😬

  3. I’ve been stalking your updates for the Miranda Kenneally books and I was sad you didn’t like them BUT now that I think of it, the Hundred Oaks series only got really good after Things I Can’t Forget. I think you’ll like the others in the series more for sure. 🙂
And ahhh need the new Sarina Bowen ASAP too! I didn’t realize it was out already, but yay!

    1. I’m hoping the Hundred Oaks series get better because I hate being hate being the odd one out when everyone else loves a series.

I love the fact that Goodbye Paradise is set in the same town as the True North series! I love stories set in small towns so much. It’s a sweet story just likes her others, although I wish it was a little longer.
