The Monthly Recap: July 2019

mr5

Hey guys!

July is over which means we’re one more month closer to Autumn. THANK FUCKING GOD BECAUSE I AM OVER THIS HEAT! The weather has been very non-make-up friendly these past few weeks and while I’m usually not affected by the heat since I’m anemic, this summer has been brutal. The constant heat has also affected the train systems and caused numerous black outs and I’m not tryna go into August having a replay of all that mess. Other than crappy weather, this month has been rather uneventful. I did manage to get all caught up on my review books and I’m almost caught up on ARCs and hopefully I can keep this up next month and not fall behind again, lol. Anyways, let’s get to this month’s recap.

Let’s get started!

I read a total of 23 books this month and DNFed 1 book! Granted, 6 of these books were rereads but I’m still counting them! I almost fell into a reading slump this month but luckily I was saved by my favorite boys of Denver aka the Marked Men series. I DNFed Making Up because the book was getting on my last nerve and I wanted to throw my phone across the room. My favorite reads for this month were Ayesha at Last and Tamed

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!

  1. You have so many interesting reads that I need to check out!! I also read Daddy Me and Watch Me. I enjoyed Watch Me a lot! I think it’s my fave of the series. I can’t wait for the next novel! I pushed through Making Up, but girl, that book was bad. I think I was generous with my 2.5 Stars rating. Granted, it was mostly for Griffin, but Cosy got on my nerves so damn much!
