The Monthly Recap: October 2019

Hey guys!

November has arrived! My favorite time of the year is here and I can’t wait to stuff my face with all the holiday yummies. But first let’s take a look back at October. I got to visit Seattle, which was one of the top cities I’ve always wanted to visit, and I had the best time. But as much as I loved visiting the west coast for the first time, I’ve come to the realization that I am a true east coaster through and through. I’m also way too broke to live on the west coast so I’m gonna stick to NYC for now. Anyways, let’s get to this month’s recap.

Let’s get started!

I read a total of 9 books this month and DNFed 2 books! It’s been a while since I’ve read such a small amount of books but I did fall into a bit of a slump after I came back from vacation so I’m not surprised by this. My favorite read for this month was The Bromance Book Club. This book was so freakin’ cute and I’m excited for the next book in this series.

I'm Ari, a local NYC bibliophile and a forever daydreamer. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a book and my head up in the clouds. I am also a coffee addict and a chocolate connoisseur. I fell in love with the romance genre about three years ago and I haven't been able to stop reading about happily-ever-afters, which is ironic because I'm a bit of a cynical romantic in real life, haha. I hope you all enjoy my blog and fangirling with me about all the smutty reads!

  1. Seattle is CRAZY expensive, right? My husband and I are always talking about it. It didn’t use to be so bad, but it’s crazy now. So much traffic, too. Ugh. I love living here, but I do wish it was more reasonable. What was your favorite thing you saw or did here?

    1. I think Seattle has the worst traffic hands-down. I thought NYC was crazy but I saw so many people run the red light in Seattle and I was shocked, lol.

My favorite things was probably all the nature things. Seattle has so many parks and I love how they’re all by the water. We don’t get parks like that in NYC.
